All of you nations, come praise the Lord! Let everyone praise him. His love for us is wonderful; his faithfulness never ends. Shout praises to the Lord!
Here is today’s prayer from Psalm 117:
God. Abba. Father.
We praise you today! Your love is never ending. It began when you spoke to create light. It will continue for all eternity. We will sing of your glory.
We ask that every nation, every tribe, every language will bow and worship you today. May we observe your hand in creation. May we notice you in the smiles of the people we interact with today. May we look for, and find, your hand as you guide us through each moment. May we wonder, “What miracle will we see today?” And when find evidence of you, give us pause to say “thank you.”
Thank you for being the One True God. We are in awe that you created the heavens and the earth. Yet, you also care about us and the things that concern us. Your love never fails! When other people disappoint us, your faithfulness never ends. Thank you for being our rock, our solid foundation. Thank you for loving us!
And thank you for Jesus, in whose name we pray.
We’re reading through, and with intentionality, praying through the Psalms during this school year. There are 150 Psalms, divided into 180 different readings. See this post for more info.
